This is an arm insignia for the HJ Flieger Technische Vorschule (Flyer Technical Prepatory School). Extremely rare insignia. The insignia did not make it into J.R. Angolia's book The HJ. It could have been included in Chapter 32 which starts on page 148 of Volume 2. However this insignia is documented in Philip Baker's series on the HJ, Youth Led By Youth. This insignia is found on pages 27 and 28 of Volume 2. |

This is an early HJ shoulder strap made of khaki material with red piping and the Bann number 171 for Mannheim. This is a sew on type board. You can see remnants of the black thread presumably used to sew it onto a winter uniform. Also the remnants of the RZM tag are on the back. This shoulder strap came from Ed Stadnicki's collection. |

This is an early HJ khaki shoulder strap with red piping for HJ Bann 280 Bunzlau. I believe this was originally a sew on type strap that was converted to a slip on type by the addition of the extra tongue on the back. This shoulder strap came from Ed Stadnicki's collection. This shoulder strap does show show damage or wear to the piping. |
